Circus Art from the Heart

Saffron is a multidisciplinary aerialist and movement artist specializing in aerial rope and silks. She is known for her original specialty acts, including Aerial Rilks, a fusion of rope and silk and Aerial Hula Hammock, an LED aerial multihoop act performed on sling.

Her broader practice spans a wide range of aerial apparatuses, as well as contortion, hand balancing, flow arts, and physical theatre. Blending technical precision with embodied storytelling, Saffron creates visually striking performances that explore the depth of human experience through strength, sensitivity, and movement.

As a longtime collaborator with Paper Doll Militia, Saffron has helped develop original aerial theatre works, including the Aerial Nervous System, an innovative apparatus that gives physical form to internal states and survival responses.

Saffron is also the Founder and Creative Director of Circus with Purpose., which brings together artists from around the world to train, create, and build community while raising funds for social circus programs supporting youth in Nicaragua.
